Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Chortke ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What Chortke Does

Chortke helps you track personal finances by importing bank statement PDFs and organizing your transactions locally on your device. We are not a bank, financial advisor, or money transmitter.

3. Your Data & Ownership

You retain full ownership of all your financial data. We do not claim any rights to your data because:

• Your data never leaves your device (unless you choose to share)
• We have no access to your financial information
• You control all data import, export, and deletion

4. Subscription Terms

Free Features: Basic statement import and transaction tracking are free.

Premium Features: Advanced features require a subscription:

• Monthly or annual billing options
• Auto-renewal unless canceled 24 hours before period end
• Manage subscriptions in iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions

5. Free Trial

Free trials may be offered. If you don't cancel before the trial ends, you will be charged for a subscription. Cancel anytime during the trial to avoid charges.

All payments are processed by Apple. Apple's terms govern payment processing.

6. Statement Sharing Program

You may voluntarily share bank statements to help us improve bank support.

How It Works

• You choose to share a statement when prompted or via Settings
• The statement is sent via your device's email app
• We use it solely to create parsing templates for that bank
• Shared statements are deleted within 14 days

Premium Reward

Users who share 3 or more statements may receive a promotional premium code. This reward is:

• Subject to availability and our discretion
• Not guaranteed and may be modified or discontinued
• Limited to one reward per user
• Non-transferable and has no cash value

Your Rights

You can request immediate deletion of any shared statement at kasabeh.tech/chortke/delete.

License Grant

By sharing a statement, you grant us a limited license to use that statement solely for the purpose of improving our bank statement parsing capabilities. This license terminates when we delete your statement.

7. Refunds

Refund requests must be made through Apple. We do not process refunds directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com for refund requests.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for illegal purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer the app
• Circumvent subscription or trial limitations
• Use the app to process others' financial data without consent
• Share statements that you do not have the right to share
• Submit fraudulent or misleading statements

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

• The app will be error-free or uninterrupted
• PDF parsing will be 100% accurate
• All bank statement formats will be supported
• Features will remain unchanged

You should verify imported data for accuracy.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• We are not liable for data loss (your data is on your device, not ours)
• We are not liable for financial decisions made based on app data
• Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the past 12 months

11. Not Financial Advice

Chortke is a tool for tracking finances. It does not provide:

• Financial advice
• Investment recommendations
• Tax guidance
• Legal counsel

Consult qualified professionals for financial decisions.

12. Third-Party Services

The app may integrate with:

• Apple StoreKit (subscriptions)
• Apple Mail/Share Sheet (statement sharing)
• TelemetryDeck (optional analytics)

Third-party services are governed by their own terms.

13. Modifications to Service

We may:

• Update or modify app features
• Change pricing with notice
• Discontinue features (including the statement sharing program)
• Update these Terms

Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Termination

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may terminate access if you violate these Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Canada. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario, Canada.

16. Severability

If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect.

17. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kasabeh Technology regarding the Chortke app.
